So let's tackle the elephant in the room. Real talk. As humans, it is common that we seek for validation to know that we are worthy or good enough. Even though we excel in a certain field that we are passionate about, our self-esteem can still be wounded if our efforts and expertise are left unrecognized. Some of us cope from this feeling in a seemingly positive way by striving to be better at our craft, or engaging in a healthy sport or competition. Others do it in a seemingly negative way by putting others down to elevate their self-esteem, or backstabbing others whom they think are not worthy of getting the recognition that those people are getting (because they feel that they are more deserving of that attention instead). If we re-assess the triggers and the root cause behind these reactions and ill feelings, it all boils down to the wounded inner child within all of us. The inner child only wanted to feel the parents' love and genuine support, to hear their praises after a job well done, to be told that they are the best after being compared to a sibling, or their classmate, or whoever else. There are so many layers that are needed to be shed to finally get to the state of no longer seeking for validation, and to finally reach the stage wherein the ego serves the spirit and not the other way around. Awareness of one's shadow is key to achieving self-mastery. Once you notice that pattern emerging from the suppressed shadows, acknowledge it and forgive yourself - and the people who took you for granted. Release that bondage because you don't need that baggage. Find comfort in the fact that the Godseed inside of you already makes you worthy of love, peace, and harmony.
You are one with the Universe and a co-creator of your reality. Your soul knows that you don't need to compete with anyone anymore just to feel complete. Be authentic to yourself and focus on your life purpose. Seek the God Creator. Follow the bread crumbs and you'll find the answer soon enough.
