When I think about the word "relaxation", one of the few stuff that first come to mind is a hand & foot spa! It's something that instantly updates your looks and prettify your hands and feet at the same time! So when me and my husband spent the weekend with our friends in Tagaytay, we, the girls had our spa session here at Posh Nails Tagaytay Branch! When I entered the spa, I immediately noticed these tiny samples of their various body scrubs! You may choose which scent you like to be used on you, what a treat! I used to do my own manicure and pedicure at home before but since I became a mom, my schedule became busier than expected that I was left with less time for doing "girl things" such as this for myself. And with that, I am just so happy to have a mani-pedi treat! Me and my blogger friend, Ann, had fun catching up with each other in the cozy ambiance of this spa. It has a pretty and girly interior design with white and pastel pinks and purples as its motif. The star-shaped throw pillow and the framed quotes on the wall definitely caught my interest! Having a colored nail polish is a nice way in updating the appearance of your nails but since I am a busy stay-at-home-mom, the woman who attended to me recommend that I have a gel mani-pedi polish instead for it last longer (up to 1-3 weeks) since it doesn't chip off as easily as a regular nail polish. Also, it is more convenient since it dries faster. No need for "drying time" which is important for me since I was holding a baby with me in the spa! Hehe! I chose the Cuccio Gel in 6023, a bright red shade. I really love that color for it makes my hands and feet look "fairer"in short, nakakaputi ung kulay! And not to mention, it matches my dress and accessories that I was wearing during that time! The gel polish was nicely done! And also, I like that the manicurists' hands were "magaan" hindi sila masakit maglinis, not at all! I was relaxed the whole time while they're doing my nails! She even massaged my hands afterwards, I like that extra effort, little it may be. :) Yes, RED is definitely my color! It's powerful, beautiful, and seductive! Hahaha! But seriously, the reason why I love it so much is because it enhances my skin complexion! Now, lemme show you Ann's nail art! Her panda nail-art is so cute and adorable!!! If you are satisfied with the service, you may ask for your attendant's name and give them a tip to show your appreciation. Posh Nails Tagaytay gets pretty busy and jam-packed especially during the weekends, just so you have an idea, here's how they look like when the house is full of customers! All-in-all I was highly-satisfied with the service that I've had from Posh Nails Tagaytay. Since this is my first time trying Posh Nails, it makes me want to try the other Posh Nail franchise too in the near future, hoping that their service will be as good as what I've had here! Also, kudos to the staff who didn't panic nor get annoyed and irritated when my baby was having her tantrums during our mani-pedi session. She was crying soooooo loud for goodness' sake, good thing the staff and the customers actually were calm and understanding. Took a little while before my husband picked my baby up, turns out, she only wanted to be carried by someone standing up. Oh kids! Haha! The owner told us that it wasn't a big deal naman coz they are already used to babies and toddlers na makukulit who came along with their moms. Anyway, here are more photos taken in the spa: THE POSH NAILS EXPERIENCE:

I was supposed to try them out last October pa but I was advised by my OB to hold off from having a prenatal massage back then because I was already nearing my due date, and so I had to wait for at least 2 to 3 months post-partum before having a soft massage for safety purposes. And so waiting is what I did. Now I finally got to experience what this lounge spa has to offer! Last week, I scheduled a massage service for 5 ladies prior on going to the venue so me and my friends will be prioritized for that night. Aside from the cozy ambiance with dim-lit area, soothing scent, and relaxing music, the staff were welcoming and accommodating to our needs. Prior to the visit, I was talking to Ms. Julie of Ahavia Lounge Spa UP Village and asked her about their best-selling massage service and for the one which is the best and safest for post-natal issues. She recommended the Anti-Stress Massage for my friends and Custom Comfort Massage for me since I just had a CS operation 3 months ago. At the receptionist's desk, they have a list of different massage therapy treatments including their description and rates, so you can choose the best one that you'd like to avail. They also offer some promo during peak seasons and different service packages. The other night, instead of going alone with my baby, I decided to bring along with me my highschool barkada called "So Fab!" to spend our mini-reunion coz it happened that our girlfriend, Lian, had just gone back from Qatar to Manila again for her annual visit to the country! Anyway, my ladies were planning to have a relaxing time at a spa to unwind from all our busy hectic #TitasOfManilaResponsibilities and #MommyDuties so I decided to refer Ahavia Lounge Spa in UP Village to them instead since I have read a lot of good reviews about it! Here we are picture-taking for like forever! I mean, hello! The interiors of this spa is so beautiful (and Instagram-worthy, you know!) with intricate wall designs, soft and cuddly sofas, pretty figurines, etc. Oh, I love this teal blue sofa right here! So here are my girls Stacey and Kristel having their feet cleansed before their massage session starts. And here I am with my 3-month-old baby girl Kashmir. Good thing, the spa is very accommodating to their customers' needs, they were very nice to me and made sure that I will be comfortable even with a baby in tow. It also helped that Kashmir is such a sociable and yet well-behaved infant so I didn't have any problems about bringing her in the spa whatsoever. This is how their ladies lounge looks like, it is where me and Lian had our massage service. On the other side is where our 3 girlfriends were. I wasn't able to take a photo na coz the curtains were already closed and they already started by the time we arrived at the 2nd floor (where the VIP lounge is located). As usual, we should remove our clothes but the ladies will be given black silk underwear shorts and a large rectangular black fabric to cover half of our bodies during the massage session. Anyway, look who's here: it's Kashmir! Gusto rin ata nya magpa-massage, haha! Funny thing, while we were having our massage, my baby was so fond of one of their therapists, she kept on looking, smiling and laughing at her, she was so entertained seeing the masseuse' movements (as well as hearing our chikahan all through out!) I was given a choice to either sit on a la-z-boy chair so I can be comfortable sitting on my back or join my girls in the ladies spa room (maximum of 5 person) while we lie on the bed together. I chose the latter for I find it easier to breastfeed that way and lying sideways while having a body massage is something that I already got used to have during my prenatal massage sessions before. After an hour, we were done with the massage. The muscle aches on my back, shoulders, and neck were removed, my emotional stress was also lessened that night so I am satisfied with their service. I also like the fact that the soft massage that the masseuse did to me was effective and yet it wasn't painful. As you know, women who just gave birth are more sensitive. I was relaxed the whole time. I asked my girl friends too how the experience was like, they all told me that it was satisfactory and worth the money! And of course namaaaaaaan, dapat picture-picture at selfie-selfie muna dahil bibihira na lang kami magkita kitang lahat! So here we are groupfie! The faces of the ladies who had such a good time taking a break from our busy lives! Of course, dahil girls night out for 2 hours kami, ang mga partners namin, nag boys night out din nearby habang naghihintay samen matapos, haha! Just so you're curious, here they are below. Haha! Sneak peak! And so, in behalf of my barkada, we would like to thank Ahavia Spa Lounge - UP Village Branch for a great service! We had a great time relaxing and bonding in this cozy place, you bet! My personal unbiased over-all review : The Massage: I like how the masseuse gave me a soft massage, it was gentle yet able to remove the muscle aches on my back, legs, especially on my neck, nape, and shoulders. In short, natanggal ung mga lamig ko sa katawan and yet, the massage itself wasn't painful at all. Nakaka-relax siya. The scent of the products that were used is not overpowering. Actually, my husband commented that I smell like minty toothpaste daw. Haha! Hey, I like the smell of cool mint! The Lounge: Obviously, the cool, muted color motif of the spa is soothing to the eye. The design of the wall is intricately gorgeous and the figurines displayed are eye-catching. The sofas are comfortable to the customers and for their chaperones? Well, they wouldn't get bored waiting just in case for the ambiance is cozy and there are magazines available for them to read. You may also ask the staff to adjust the lighting if you wanna take photos, read, etc. Also, upon entering the spa, we were welcomed with a pleasing aroma that affected our senses in a good way. The Attendant: The masseuse who attended to us are friendly and accommodating. Mine made sure that I am comfortable, she even gave me an extra pillow so it will be easier for me to breastfeed while being massaged lying sideways. Also, she knows what she was doing. I gave a heads up that I had just given birth 3 months ago and so she was careful in not massaging the certain areas where giving pressure is not allowed like my lower back, stomach, and some areas of my feet. Also, bonus point that she was nice and not bothered by the fact that I have a baby beside me in a single size bed. Well, Kashmir is a baby who would you call, "behave, mabait, at hindi malikot" but I appreciate that she is nice to her. The attendants even entertain my baby a bit from time to time when she was looking and laughing at them. Hehe! Overall: I sincerely will recommend this place to others. I am glad that my friends liked the experience so I know that I won't be embarrassed to refer this spa to other people again. The rates of their services is not cheap yet it isn't too expensive either. The price is just right and reasonable for the ambiance and the service that we are paying.
