I've always been a chocolate lover by heart and any food that has chocolates or in this case, skin food that has chocolate to be exact, drives me crazy! I mean who doesn't like chocolates? They're the best thing that happened in this world! Organic skin care + chocolates + fruit enzymes = Yummy skin dessert! Meet, Skin Potions Choco Munch Body Fruit Enzyme Scrub! Product Description: A micropeeling scrub that promotes skin rejuvenation and whitening at the same time. Infused with fruit enzymes that helps in skin repair. With chocolate essence that makes your bath more relaxing. Key Ingredients: Cocoa, Apricot Scrub, Kojic, Papain, Rice Bran Oil Instruction: Apply on damp skin, rub and rinse. Price: Php 400 for 100 grams I have been using this scrub for a few times now and here's my review based solely on my personal experience: Aromatheraphy: Score: 10/10. It smells like real chocolates with a blend of sweet fruits. The sweetness of the fruits were complimented by the bittersweet scent of the chocolates which I think made a very good combination. The scent makes me enjoy my bath time even more and the smell lasts for several minutes even after bath which I really love! Micropeeling: Score: 8/10. Everytime I use this, my skin has experienced micropeeling after every bath which I think helps in skin lightening because it aids in dead skin cells slowly flaking away. However in terms of Exfoliation: Score: 5/10. This is a body scrub but it's too gentle for my liking. The beads are too few so I couldn't really feel that "scrubby-dubby feeling" if you know what I mean; it felt more like an in-shower lotion with tiny beads than a body scrub for me. I felt tiny fruit beads being rubbed on my skin alright but they weren't able to exfoliate my dry skin that much unlike their Milky Oat Scrub which really delivered. I still have dry patches on my skin and micropeeled skin that it wasn't able to remove. However, those who have ultra-sensitive skin might like this; it's all a matter of preference. This is how this product looks like when applied on the skin, you can see that the beads are far from each other. Comment:
As much as I love and adore its fruity chocolatey scent and the fact that it can also be used as an alternative for a shaving cream since it's very gentle, I might not consider this as a body scrub that is perfect for my skin type. However, if they can add MORE beads, it will help in improving this product SO MUCH and it can do better in terms of exfoliation and maybe, that will make me list this as one of my favorite lotion scrubs. |
