Fashion bloggers showcased their sense of style using NBA merchandise at the first ever NBA Styling Challenge, Wednesday, at the NBA Store Glorietta 3, Makati. It was my first time to attend a styling event so it was such an honor to get invited to be one of the bloggers who had a chance to participate in a friendly styling challenge wherein we have to dress our models using NBA Store clothes and accessories that will match the current fashion trend and the basketball team theme that was assigned to us. Oklahoma City Thunder is the basketball team that was given to our group so we must apply that theme to the fashion look that we will be styling our model. So here we go..... I really LOVE this striking shoe design for our team, too bad this shoe doesn't fit our model's size 14 feet! Oh well, at least there is ONE PAIR of shoe left with a different design that matches his shoe size! Whew! This, below, is the ONLY pair that fit him. Good thing, it is BLACK, a neutral color that matches the bag, thank God! It’s common for many hoops fans to wear basketball jerseys and shorts as their default fashion style. But the NBA challenged groups of bloggers to push the limits in integrating NBA gear into everyday wear by conceptualizing fresh, exciting looks out of the extensive assortment of products available at the NBA Store. Riding on the energy of the NBA Playoffs, blogger groups created fashion looks highlighting the four NBA Teams currently vying for spots in the NBA Finals. The blogger-stylists’ entries were judged according to Creativity, Resourcefulness, Relevance to the Theme and Overall Impact. The bloggers were given a total of 30 minutes to brainstorm, look for the perfect gear and accessories, then style Jr. NBA Philippines All-Stars from 2013 and 2014 who modeled the looks. Marco Sario of the Letran Knights modeled for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Vince Ferrer of the UST Tiger Cubs donned Toronto Raptors gear, Sam Abuhijleh of the San Beda Red Lions donned the colors of the Oklahoma Thunder, and Rhayyan Amsali of the National University Bullpups suited up for the Golden State Warriors. And here we present OUR model from Group #3!!! Hoorayyy!!! After the models showcased their #OOTDs, the bloggers would have to give a short explanation behind the styling they did. So here am I and Anne telling them why we put together this whole outfit. Since our assigned basketball team is OKC, we chose the contrasting colors of blue & orange, black & white to match their official logo. Also we made the whole outfit look hip, sporty, modern, street and young: something perfect for the model's lifestyle, activity, and of course, age. We also considered what will look good on his body type and complexion. So, maybe now you're wondering who won the styling challenge? Well, well, well..... here's the result: Team Thunder, composed of bloggers Ann Purificacion, Krish Rai, Vyn Radovan and Gia Jamias, who styled Sam Abuhijle, was hailed as the winner. YEHEY!! WE WON!!! Ta-daaaahhhhhh!!! So happy!!! And because we won, we were given a GC to spend in this store! I decided to let my husband do the shopping because he'll love the items more since he is a basketball fan and plays the sport himself. Here are some of the NBA store merchandise that we got, we chose to get our toddler some toys too! Hehe, so cute! Here we are the winning team with the judges. Thanks so much for choosing the look that we made as the winner! :) The NBA Store is, I must say that this is like the "heaven f or all the basketball fans out there! Oh, there are more interesting stuff in here too aside from their merchandise, so check out the photos below! The NBA Store in Glorietta 3 is the first NBA Store in the Philippines. It is the largest NBA Store outside of the United States and the first in Southeast Asia. As of May 2016, there are three NBA Stores in the country : Glorietta 3, SM Megamall, and TriNoma. Guess who it is? LOOK! They have jerseys available for kiddos! Amazing!!! TOYS FOR THE BIG BOYS!!! CHECK 'EM OUT!!! Now let's see how tall we are! How do we compare to these basketball players' heights! I'll check, just wait! So what about his hand and shoe size? I wonder how mine compares! OH MY GOODNESS!!! Saw that? Shux, I know I have looooong fingers and biiiig feet, but oh my gosh! I looked like a dwarf compared to Shaquille O'Neal!!! My feet is an effin' size 10 and his is 22!!! Yeah, 22 for goodness' sake! Anyway, movin' on let us check out some NBA memorabilias, autographed stuff and jerseys, and collector's items (which I assume cost A LOT!!!) THIS ELEVATOR IS COOL AF! Oh, yeah, the store has 2 floors! How's my boys? Did someone get tired from shopping and playing all day? We would like to thank the NBA Store for having us here! It isn't everyday that a girl like me goes into a sporty store, I am actually surprised how creatively handsome is the VMA and interior designing of this store! About the NBA
