For every mommies and mom-to-be's, the words "BABY ESSENTIALS SALE" is exciting! It is a chance for us to shop and hoard for our little ones (and some for ourselves of course!) in a fraction of a cost! That's why this year, me and the hubby decided to never miss Baby Company's Grand Baby Fair Year 8! The event was held last January 26 to 28 at Megatrade Halls 1 to 3 of SM Megamall. All the people who attended the event had enjoyed discounts up to 70% off on the widest selection of mom and baby brands! Others were able to bring home a “Swag Bag” with a minimum single-receipt spend of P5,000 using Baby Company’s Mom Card. I'll share with you our experience and some of the good finds I saw! Upon entering the venue, we immediately noticed LOTS OF PEOPLE. And what I meant by that is there were SO MANY PEOPLE, the event was full! As in, punong-puno ng shoppers! That alone says that the event was indeed a success! The theme for Grand Baby Fair 2018 is OUTERSPACE. As you can see in the photos, the photo booth and the entrance design has a universe background, the ushers were wearing space-inspired outfits, and when you walk inside, all the booths and stalls have a universe-inspired designs like rockets, planets, solar system, stars, sun, moon all over the area. Did I mention that kids who are wearing space-inspired outfits will get a free treat at the event? My daughter was given a free loot bag with sweet treats inside by Kingsam Party Hub when we went to their booth! Celebrity moms also graced the Grand Baby Fair event to give tips and inspiring talks about their journey in motherhood. Here are some of them whom I was able to see last January 27! Mariel Rodriguez, Toni Gonzaga, Jolina Magdangal, Maricar de Mesa, among many others... I wasn't able to take a photo with them coz I was kinda shy and there were too many people (baka dumugin sila ng tao and I don't want them to be stressed). Now let's move on to the shopping!!! I visited KAYPEE BABY's stall and look what I found: me and Kash-kash on their poster and catalogue! Love it! Kaypee baby sells affordable stylish nursing wear, nursing bras, and some mommy-and-baby twinning tops! Check out my Kaypee Baby blog HERE! Some of the things that caught my eye: KingSam Party Hub had a stall in there wherein they showed a sample of their baby-related event candy buffet set-up. There were candies, sweet treats, as well as glitter and face paint area. I was actually overwhelmed by so many brands selling baby carriers, high-seat chairs, baby walkers, strollers, playing mats, beddings, cribs, etc. Truly, you will always have many options! For those who have stairs and crawling babies at home, A MUST!!! Of course, toys will always be there, ALWAYS!!! Baby essentials like baby wipes, diapers, drinking bottles, dish washing liquids, baby clothes detergent, and many more! After shopping, people should show their receipts that have a minimum of Php 5,000 purchase to get a FREE SWAG BAG! WHAT'S INSIDE THE SWAG BAG? There were diapers from several brands; samples of liquid baby wipes, cotton buds, baby soaps, lotions, toothpaste, and cleansers; shampoo bottle; nappy clips; breast pads samples; car sign; hooded towel; Burt's Bees lip balm; Nivea moisturizer; coloring book; and a pair of kiddie socks. Here are some of the essentials that we bought at the event. We make sure to change the bottle cleansers, drinking bottles and bottle nipples often. That's the thing when you have formula milk-fed toddlers. My kids have so many toys already so I bought them something new instead that they can play with and learn from at the same time. These Crayola egg crayons are nice for babies yr old and up and the washable paints are great for toddlers 3 y/o and up! BAZAAR SHOPPING TIPS:
Attending a bazaar such as the Grand baby Fair could be overwhelming for most people for there are so many brands and stalls to choose from. Here are some tips to make it easier for you: 1) Have a list of what you NEED. To avoid impulse buying and purchasing things just because they are on sale even though you don't need them can affect your budget. When you know what you need, it is easier for you to look for those specific items. Remember, it is always wise to prioritize! 2) Stick to your budget. Yes there are popular brands out there but don't give in to pressure if you find some of their stuff too expensive. There are lots of cheaper alternatives that have a good quality also. 3) Wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Do NOT wear heels, moms! Walking for a long time is tiring especially if the place is kind of "siksikan". 4) ALWAYS look out for your kids if you will bring them! The place is so crowded, kids can get lost easily if you're not careful. Honestly, in this event it is easier not to bring kids around kasi masikip talaga ung lugar sa sobrang dami ng tao but if you have no choice then it is better to use an anti-lost wrist link that you can strap on your wrist and your kids'! For babies, placing them inside a baby carrier is easier than pushing a stroller in a crowded area. 5) Keep your valuables safe. Much better if your bag has long straps for easier movement and always put it at your front to avoid anything from getting snatched. Never leave your wallets and bags on the shopping cart! ------------------------------------------- For more updates from the Baby Company, visit their sites: Facebook: Baby Company Instagram: @babycompanyph |
